Long Distance Shoot
Each shoot this year will have a long distance shoot. The target will be shot from a distance of 40-60 yards for traditional shooters and from 80 – 100 yards for compound shooters. You will be shooting at a small dot and you must touch the dot with your shot to qualify.
There is no restriction on the type of arrows or the number of times a person can participate.
Each shooter will pay $5 for five shots creating two separate pots for traditional and compound shooters. For each arrow that that touches the marked spot you will receive 1 qualifying arrow for the final year end shoot.
Everyone that qualifies for the year end shoot will be randomly selected for shooting order. Each shooter will shoot the number of arrows that he/she has qualified to shoot based on the number of times the shooter hit the marked spot leading up to the finals.
The shooter who hits closest to the marked target in the final shoot is the winner for their class. The more times you qualified during the year the more opportunities you have to shoot in the finals.
The winner will receive 80% of all the funds that have accumulated for their class.
Example: If there are 10 traditional shooters per event x $5 per shooter x 8 events then the pot will be $400 x 80% or $320. Whoever is closest to the target in the final shoot will receive the $320.
A shooter can participate as many times as they choose to pay $5. For every arrow that hits the target they get 1 arrow to shoot in the finals. If two or more shooters from a class hit the target in the finals the pot will be split.
There will be no separation for male/female or adult /youth. The only separation is traditional and compound.
