HCTAC-TOURNAMENT RULES
1. There
MUST BE at least 4 ADULTS in each group.
(May be waived at the discretion of at least 2 officers.).
2. There
must be 2 score keepers per group.
Scores must be tallied & verified before both sets are turned in.
3. No
arrows shall be pulled until BOTH scorekeepers have agreed upon and scored each
arrow.
4. Any
young person under 17 years of age must shoot under adult supervision.
5. All
adults and youths shoot from yellow stake. Cubs shoot from white stake. Pee Wees
shoot where they want.
6. Shooters
must touch the stake designated for their class.
7. Recurves,
longbows and primitive bows only (Primitive bows being made with NATURAL
MATERIALS, no fiberglass).
8. Wood
arrows only in the primitive class.
9. Target
points only, NO blunts or broadheads, no weight restrictions.
10.
Arrow
may be shot off of hand, bowshelf or elevated rest.
11.
No
breaking of limbs, twigs or otherwise altering the shooting area. DO NOT move
stakes or targets.
12.
Arrow
must stick in target to score.
13.
Each
group of shooters shall settle any scoring discrepancies amongst themselves.
14.
Each
group is allowed one look at a “dry run” on any running target.
15.
If
a shooter registers in more than one class a different bow must be shot in each
different class.
16.
No
binoculars or range finders allowed on range.
17.
All
scoring rounds must be completed and scores turned in before shooting any fun
round.
18.
Targets
must be shot in the correct numerical order. 1-25 then 26-50.
19.
No
alcoholic beverages or firearms allowed on premises.
20.
Do
not leave cigarette butts or any other trash on the range (receptacles are
provided).
